Jacob Taylor

Jacob Taylor is a graduate of the Ballet Performance Program at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music where he was coached by Violette Verdy and Michael Vernon. His performance career includes dancing for such companies as Boulder Ballet, Christopher Caines Dance, Eglevsky Ballet, and FJK Dance. Mr. Taylor has taught at Peridance Capezio Center, Colorado Ballet Academy, Ridgefield School of Dance and 92NY. He has been commissioned to choreograph new works for Boulder Ballet, Colorado Ballet Academy, IU Opera Theatre, New England Ballet Theatre and the “Shut Up and Dance” festival with dancers of Philadelphia Ballet. Mr. Taylor enjoyes the experimental and playful process of dance making that honors the traditions and legacy of dance while also creating new and exciting ways of dance art and the viewing experience.
