Aurore Stalder

Aurore is a versatile dancer, choreographer, and educator with a passion for exploring the intricate nuances of the human experience through movement. She holds a BA in Dance and French (Summa Cum Laude) from Cal State Fullerton and is currently a company member with the Nannette Brodie Dance Theater as well as an instructor at Pryntsev Ballet Academy.
Aurore’s diverse training began at the age of five with tap before expanding into ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, lyrical, musical theater, and Russian character. She studied at Pacific Ballet Conservatory, training in Vaganova with Ludmil Boubbov, Balanchine, and ABT methods, and attended summer intensives with The Jillana School, The Joffrey Ballet, and UCI’s Conservatory Dance Intensive. Her performance repertoire includes numerous productions of The Nutcracker with Pacific Theater Ballet. Aurore is also dedicated to teaching dancers at all levels with an approach that emphasizes both challenge and enjoyment, fostering a supportive environment for growth.
As a choreographer, Aurore brings a thoughtful and compelling perspective to her work, addressing themes such as individuality, human emotion, and societal challenges. Her piece “Il y a des étoiles” premiered in 2019 at the Junipero Serra “Globally Aware Dance Concert.” She continued with works such as “Easy Prey” (2022), exploring indirect bullying, and “The Prisoners” (2023), a meditation on individualism, at Cal State Fullerton’s Fall Concerts. Aurore has also choreographed for the “12 X 16” showcases, presenting thought-provoking pieces on cultural perceptions, such as “Dumb Foreigner.” Her most recent piece, “So many voices,” premiered at the MixMatch Dance Festival 2025 and received a review in the L.A. Dance Chronicle.
In addition to her choreographic pursuits, Aurore is dedicated to teaching dancers at all levels. Her approach emphasizes both challenge and enjoyment, fostering a supportive environment for growth. Fluent in French and English, with proficiency in Spanish, Aurore is well-equipped to connect with diverse audiences and students.
