Missy Moore

Missy Moore was born and raised in Southern California and has trained in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap and Contemporary.  At the age of 5, she began her training at the Daria Bearden Dance Studio and soon after joined their travelling song and dance company.  In high school she studied under Kristen Olsen Potts at the West Coast Conservatory of Ballet.  During her time at West Coast she became a senior member of their company, Ballet Unlimited, under the direction of Kristen Olsen Potts, Janet Ambruso, and Jennifer Backhaus and danced leads in Sleeping Beauty, The Seasons, Hansel and Gretel, and Alice in Wonderland.  Missy attended summer intensive programs with the Contra Costa Ballet, Cleveland/San Jose Ballet and Boston Ballet.  She joined the dance department at UCLA, where she received a B.A. in World Arts and Cultures and a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology.  Currently, Missy performs semi-annually with LA Unbound (a Los Angeles-based company) and continues her ballet training with Mark Lopez at Westside Ballet.  This is her first season with the Kenneth Walker Dance Project.
