Grace Tiangco

Grace Tiangco was born and raised in Davis, California where she started training at the age of 5 at Applegate Dance Studio under Lisa Applegate and was a member of the company for 6 years. She performed in several roles for ballets such as Firebird, Les Sylphides, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty and danced as the leads in both Les Sylphides and Cinderella. She chose to go to UC Irvine for the next four years and recently graduated last fall with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Dance and minor in Psychology & Social Behavior where she studied from professors Jodie Gates, Molly Lynch, Israel Gabriel, Sheron Wray and Lisa Naugle to name some. She’s attended summer intensives at California Ballet School, Maple Conservatory of Ballet and Jimmie Defore Dance Studio summer scholarship. A disciplined and dedicated dancer all her life, she never thought once about becoming a professional dancer until her third year of college.

After graduation Grace decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in performing and teaching dance. She is currently a member of American Ballet of Los Angeles, and working steadily in two international entertainment dance companies as well. She loves the diversity and culture that the LA dance world has given to her so far for she is able to form into a more versatile dancer and learn new styles while still continuing to pursue her first love, the artistic form ballet. She’s excited to see what other performing opportunities LA (and the rest of the world for that matter) has in store for her since this is just the beginning of her professional dance career! This is Grace’s first season with KWDP.
