Kenneth Walker Dance Project nominated for Lester Horton Award

LOS ANGELES, CA: March 1, 2008 – Kenneth Walker Dance Project (KWDP), a contemporary ballet company based in southern California has been nominated for the prestigious Lester Horton Dance Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Performance by a Company for their program Sheer Force of Will. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on April 26, 2008.
Kenneth Walker Dance Project, comprised of professional dancers from Southern California, is a vehicle for nationally recognized choreographer Kenneth Walker. KWDP most recently made its New York debut at the American Dance Guild Festival, and has appeared at the prestigious Piccolo Spoleto Festivals in Charleston, South Carolina in 2006 and 2007 and the AAPHERD Southeast Conference in Virginia. The company is preparing for its 2008 season with performances in Los Angeles and San Pedro.
